Laurie KennedyChristmas is the season where we talk of love, hope and peace. It is a season of activities, Sunday school concerts and special events with family and friends

During this Christmas season, we’ll talk with family and friends about the snow, the cold and the flu season.  School plays, Sunday school concerts and lawn displays remind us that the peace and love we all strive for is demonstrated in a manger.

I follow news reports and several daily papers.  This is a continual reminder that our world is in a difficult place.   The tragedies, financial concerns and family crisis are increasing.  We’ve never before heard of so much difficulty worldwide.  Our family talk is important, but it is the prayer and action that counts the most for our world to see God’s love demonstrated in us.

Yet, Christmas is also a season where our conversation includes reference to a baby Jesus.  The school plays, Sunday school concerts and lawn displays all remind that we need to refocus our lives to the babe in the manger.

“I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord.  (Luke 2:10) NKJ

The babe in the manager is the key to the love, joy and peace we all long for. My prayer is that your Christmas will be special and provide a time to pray, reflect and thank our Lord for His many blessings.

Leadership is realizing that a babe in the manger has a plan for your life.
