Laurie KennedyGood morning Pastors, Mission Directors and Leaders. It’s Monday morning, the start of a new week. In fact, today is the start of the rest of your life. You have a decision to make. You can repeat the activities, phone calls, emails and texts from last week. If you do, you’ll achieve the same result as last week. The choice is yours.

You can delegate a whole list of activities and responsibilities to your staff. As the leader of your team there is one thing you cannot delegate. You can’t delegate the responsibility to improve the health of your team. That’s your job.

So what is your priority for today, this week and the foreseeable future?

“But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” (Matthew 6:33 NIV)

Before you dive into the multitude of details on your growing To Do List, take time to reflect. What is your highest priority to improve the health of your Ministry? If everything is a priority then you haven’t any priorities. Here are four ideas to ensure this week is different.

Take the next 30 minutes to:

Pray for and call one of your staff to tell them you appreciate them

  • Pray for and call one of your supporters to thank them for their support
  • Prayerfully review your Vision, Mission and Value statements
  • Prayerfully decide what you can do to improve the health of your Ministry
  • Prayerfully consider a strategy to gradually improve the health of your Ministry

As a leader in my family, in my church and in my coaching practice my goal is always the same. To demonstrate God’s love and work to improve the health of whatever situation I’m in.

Leadership is ensuring your priorities are consistent with scripture and leading to growing disciples.

Yours in Service,
