Laurie Kennedy“Vision serves as the North Star for Organizations, helping leaders keep their bearings as they move their people forward.” (Spiritual Leadership, Henry and Richard Blackaby). The Vision statement is a picture of what God has in mind for us, statements that challenge and inspire us to seek God, a path or a decision point to see the invisible with faith. Helen Keller asks and answers her own question, “What could be worse than being born without sight? Being born with sight and no vision.”

“A study of vision and decision. They saw the vision, counted the cost, made their decisions, and went into action.” (J. Oswald Sanders in his book Spiritual Leadership)

Note, (Hebrews 11: 4, 5, 7 & 8 NIV), “By faith Abel offered God a better sacrifice…By faith Enoch was taken… By faith Noah, when warned about things not yet seen… By faith Abraham, when called to go…” These amazing men and women of Scripture heard God’s call and envisioned a future event that was invisible to others. They worked toward a future they would not experience. They set the stage for others to follow.

“God equips each church for particular assignments. The church must discover its vision not by seeking the opinions of people but by seeking God’s will” (Henry and Richard Blackaby). Whether it is a church or a family of churches, we need a vision that is God directed, guiding us to His perfect will.

An awe inspiring vision statement guides all of our decisions, discussions, the Annual Ministry Plan and budget allocations. We believe our Pastors, leaders and churches must be healthy, God fearing, spirit lead and rooted in scripture. It is only as our leaders become healthy that our churches will be healthy. Then, as our churches become healthy, they will reap the harvest.

Leadership is … living by faith, holding onto the Vision, God’s vision for your church, your family, your business and your life.
