Leadership Is … Relationships #389

I’d like to begin today by offering my very special thanks to you, learning and growing leaders world-wide. We are on a journey together. God has given us another day, an opportunity to make things right. Today is the day to offer grace, forgiveness and to step out and demonstrate God’s love to our world.

When I ask leaders where they have seen God’s fingerprint, I rarely hear about expensive programs. I hear hundreds of examples of individual acts of service leading to changed lives.

As leaders, many of our phone calls and meetings are difficult. Discussions start or end with prayer. Yet, the challenge of repairing relationships that have hardened is an ongoing concern. The greater concern is those relationships with our Heavenly Father that have become strained and distant. Yet, there are those wonderful meetings where tears are shed, forgiveness is offered, accepted and relationships healed. The difficulties, hurts and concerns of the past disappear when individuals pray, seek forgiveness and put God’s plan first. It is these very positive relationship building events that make the positive changes in our personal lives and in the corporate lives of our churches. The process of personal and organizational healing is wonderful to watch and the life changing impact is immense.

Today, I’m expecting additional challenges and changes.  An opportunity to make things right with family, friends and co-workers. I also look for improved relationships with our Heavenly Father.

I’m very thankful for and appreciate the Pastors and church leaders that I have the privilege to work and pray with.

Yours in Service,

Laurie D. Kennedy
