I believe in Servant Leadership.

Our world is changing. Our global values and beliefs have devolved. As individuals we are looking for clarity, direction and help. Ministry, Corporate, Missions and churches worldwide are seeking quality leaders.

Christ’s Biblical demonstration of Servant Leadership should be paramount in our personal and professional lives. Some of today’s leadership gurus achieve God’s standard. Others, are ineffective.

As a Servant Leader, we serve our Heavenly Father, our people, our associates, as well as the Vision, Mission and Values of our organizations. Let’s follow Christ’s example of serving with integrity. Let’s integrate current leadership challenges with scripture. Use this short item for your personal leadership study or devotional readings within your Bible Study or Life Group to share, pray and learn.

We all have leadership potential. We are all called and gifted by God for unique leadership roles. I will pray that you will strive for God’s standard of Servant Leadership of integrity. I believe Christ has the power and is committed to using you and me to change our world, bringing people to himself.

As a leader, what can you do to demonstrate God’s love? Mays in her book the Courteous Rebel suggests, “Servant Leadership is being a servant first. The essence of servant leadership is leading by example.” Further, in reference to the shepherd, (Ezekiel 34:2 NIV), “Woe to the shepherds of Israel who only take care of themselves! Should not the shepherd take care of the flock?” As Christian leaders, we are not here to serve “your own interests, but also to the interests of others” (Philippians 2:4 NKJV).

“I am among you as the One who serves.” (Luke 22:27 NKJV)

My prayer and the stimulus for these words is that as servant leaders of integrity, each of us, would see our role in God’s plan. Our world is changing, and God has a plan for us.

Yours in Service:
